13e Bataillon du Génie was the engineer unit of the 2e Blindée. This battalion have four engineering companies along with the headquarters company and a bridging company.

Like their American Counterparts in the Armored Engineer Battalion which had 18 M1A1 flamethrowers, 13e Bataillon du Génie had flamethrowers in the 2e Blindée.
