M1917 HMG is a United States Infantry unit.

A machine gun emplacement, using the M1917 Browning 7,62mm machine gun.
Each Infantry Battalion of the Infantry Division has two Machine Gun Platoon in the Heavy Weapon company each with four M1917 Browning carried by Jeeps.
Armored Infantry Battalions of the Armored Division will have a Machine gun Platoon also with four M1917 transported by Half-tracks.
While the Glider Infantry Battalion of Airborne Division also have a Machine gun platoon using handcarts for transport.
