Reiter Führer is a German Infantry unit in Steel Division II.

German Cavalry was expanded during the Second World War. During the beginning of the World War most German Cavalry became the reconnaissance elements for the Division with only a Brigade which expanded into a Division and which was rerolled into 24th Panzer. In 1943 a requirement for mounted troops without the use of mechanization used reconnaissance elements of various infantry division to create ad-hoc cavalry regiment. These experiments lead the to the creation of three cavalry regiments. Kavallerie Regiment Mitte was created from mounted elements of various divisions and reconnaissance units. These Regiments were well equipped.

Kavallerie Regiment Mitte was reinforced and expanded into 3. Kavalerie-Brigade which served in Gruppe Harteneck.
