Opel Blitz is a German Support unit in Steel Division II. It is the standard and cost-free means of transport of getting German infantry on the battlefield. If fired upon by enemy fire (even small arms fire) for a small duration, the Opel Blitz will permanently disappear and the transported unit will be forced to dismount. If it is struck by an anti-tank gun or something else powerful, the unit inside can instantly die.

A reliable three ton truck manufactured by Opel, the Blitz 3.6 became the symbol of German logistics throughout the Great War, manufactured in a number of variants, from the standard transport version to the four-wheel drive Blitz A. It also served as the basis for the Maultier all-terrain transport vehicle, capable of negotiating the challenging terrain of the Soviet Union's western republics.

Bulk of Panzergrenadier formations were motorized with usually one Battalion equipped with Sd.Kfz. 251 series except for 21. Panzer's Panzergrenadier Regiments who were equipped with french vehicles.
